In accordance with this Policy of the Board of Trustees of the Mountain Lakes Free Public Library:
All materials, except DVD’s and Kindles, are available to all individuals, adult and juvenile, who have a Mountain Lakes Free Public Library card, a Pay card issued by the Mountain Lakes Free Public Library, a library card issued by a library member of M.A.I.N. Inc., an Open Borrower card approved by the home library for borrowing, and any card issued by groups or organizations that are approved for borrowing by the Board of Trustees of the Mountain Lakes Free Public Library and/or M.A.I.N., Inc.
All materials, except DVD’s, Kindles, New Adult Books and New Adult Audio Books, may be borrowed for three (3) weeks with an overdue fine of $.10 per day.
New Adult Books may be borrowed for fourteen (14) days with an overdue fine of $.10 per day.
New Adult Audio Books, defined as in the ILL system as owned by MTL for two (2) months or less, may be borrowed for fourteen (14) days with an overdue fine of $.10 per day.
Any and all patrons must be in good standing in their library, as specified above, and have a valid, unexpired card.
Kindles may be borrowed by Mountain Lakes adult patrons only for fourteen (14) days with an overdue fine of $5.00 per day.
DVD BORROWING POLICY
As above with these exceptions:
Juveniles, under age 18, may NOT borrow R-Rated DVDs.
All R-Rated DVD’s have red R-Rated Labels.
New DVD’s, defined as in the ILL system as owned by MTL for two (2) months or less, may be borrowed for two (2) days only with an overdue fine of $2.00 per day.
All other DVD’s may be borrowed for one (1) week with an overdue fine of $1.00 per day.
